Our Commitment

At STEPPI, we are committed to creating a fair, inclusive, and enjoyable experience for all participants. Our challenges are designed to promote healthy habits, teamwork, and friendly competition.

To ensure this, all users are expected to follow the principles of fair play.

What Fair Play Means

Fair play means:

  • Accurately tracking your physical activity

  • Participating honestly without manipulating results

  • Respecting other participants and the spirit of the challenge

Acceptable Activity

The STEPPI App is designed to track real, physical movement, including:

  • Walking

  • Running

  • Every day, natural movement throughout the day

Unacceptable Behaviour

The following actions are considered violations of fair play:

  • Artificially inflating step counts (e.g. shaking your phone or device)

  • Using multiple devices or accounts to gain an unfair advantage

  • Logging steps for activity not personally performed

  • Using third-party tools, apps, or methods to manipulate step data

  • Any form of cheating intended to distort results

Monitoring & Enforcement

STEPPI reserves the right to:

  • Monitor activity data for unusual or suspicious behaviour

  • Investigate any reported or detected violations

  • Adjust, remove, or reset step counts where necessary

  • Disqualify individuals or teams from challenges if fair play is breached

Reporting Concerns

If you believe fair play has been compromised, please report it to your organisation's admin or contact STEPPI support.

All reports will be reviewed confidentially.

Our Goal

Our goal is to create a positive and motivating environment where everyone can enjoy the benefits of movement, teamwork, and wellbeing.

Let's keep STEPPI fair, fun, and rewarding for everyone.
